Can I have a private post please?

So my son will be turning 3 in January and his speech isn’t coming along as it should. His nursery said they had concerns about it so we took him for a full hearing test at the hospital to rule out any potential hearing problems but all was absolutely fine! We then got in touch with a speech therapist who suggested having 6 sessions with her to try and encourage his speech. We found that he was struggling with certain sounds so like instead of saying Fire he says Bire and he can’t say the end of words like the last sound for example boot he says boo and the same for book too. He’s also not putting many words together either and when she was trying to get him to mimic the sound she was making he wouldn’t even try or he’d make a sound completely different, is he still to young for me to be worrying about this? Any advice?
