Can you do an anon post for me please.
I need help/advice please from someone who may have been in my position before il try keep it as short as, I live in a private rent place through and estate agent it was a joint tenancy with my now ex when we broke up and he left a year and half ago I became a single mum on benefits as was full time working but the family member who was my childcare could no longer do it for me I had to leave my job since then I’ve had help from housing Benefit as on income support. My rent is £950 and I get £792 toward it. My yearly joint tenancy ended Feb and I was unable to renew in my name alone as the landlord said I need a guarantor which I don’t have the estate agent called the other day saying they have spoken to the landlord about it being put in my name alone however he wants an increase in rent £1050 And that I’m not in a fixed tenancy ATM I’m on a 4weekly rolling tenancy. I can not do this as can’t afford it the housing will not increase the help because I told them I get £300 child mataintance from kids dad. Which I have to put toward my rent as it is. Where do I go for help I don’t know what to do? Please anyone go advice for me I have two kids 5 and 4 years and scared they can kick me out anytime?

Maybe ask the council to house you….that rent seems expensive ..
Firstly, stay put. They will still need to issue you with a section 21 eviction notice.
Find somewhere cheaper to live
Where do you live? I’d look for somewhere more affordable.
