Could I have a post please.
Can you give me advise on this situation.
So my fiancé is obsessed with ice hockey and his team are in another one off game in a few weeks. My fiancé is adamant he’s going even thou we really can’t afford it as he’s out of work atm (he didn’t even see if we had plans for that day and if we had the money but he says he’s going no matter what) It’s his birthday soon, I already surprised him by taking him to a similar one off ice hockey game last week.
He’s said to me he doesn’t want any of the gifts/surprises me or the children have got him for his birthday next week he’ll trade them all for tickets to the next one off game.
I’m really hurt as he’s acting so selfish, Iv saved hard to surprise him for his birthday (Iv got him a rare ice hockey jersey wasn’t cheap and I’m taking him to Harry Potter World)
We also have a parents evening the night of the game which he said he couldn’t care less about as hockey is more important (it’s our daughters first one)
I understand he loves the sport but I’m hurt he’s not interested in his birthday surprises and our daughters parents evening. If he hadn’t been so selfish I’d have tried to saved my money hard to take him to the game but I feel so reluctant now to ‘give in’ seeing as how selfish I feel he’s been.
What do I do? I don’t want to back down as I’m hurt but I feel like a cow now denying him a game 😞
