Could I have a pp please…

Can anyone help basically my 12 year olds sons friend messaged me to say he thinks his gay and is having trouble coming out. He did tell me he thought he might be gay when he was in year six at the time I think I said he was to young to be putting labels on himself and should just focus on being himself and being happy.. I do still feel his to young for a label, but I also feel there isn’t any need for any of us to have a label why do we feel the need to announce if we’re not heterosexual?? It doesn’t bother me if his is or not I think I’d be happier if he felt he could bring anyone home as his partner as long as his happy. What do I do? How do I approach this? I’m not sure his dad will feel the same? Or even if he wants his dad to know. Thank you for taking the time to read this hopefully it makes sense xx
