Could I have a ppp. Someone reported my friend for living with someone and claiming to be a single mother claiming some benefits . She had to attend an interview. Does anyone know what will happen next? What if they find her guilty? Xx

  • If she’s innocent then she doesn’t need to worry.
If she’s guilty it’s tough shit in my eyes.
People who play dumb drive me mad…..u know it getting money every week/month so u can’t really ‘forget’ to tell them if ur circumstances change!

  • Depending the severity of the matter she’ll be interviewed under caution , and asked to set up a payment plan for all the money she’s wrongfully claimed .. then go to court and get a criminal record for fraud

  • This happened to me about 10years ago… I was young and stupid…. after I got called in they called my husband in (boyfriend at the time) and interviewed him, got found guilty and had to pay it back (and so I should have) I didn’t have to go to court as I didn’t Deny once they had found me guilty, hope that helps a little….

  • If its been less than 2 months she’ll be made to pay it all back and given a warning if it’s more than 2 months they could take legal actions with a hefty fine benefits cut and even a prison sentence it will be down to the fraud squad and a judge

  • She will have to pay back everything she got throughout the time she was claiming. If it’s over a certain amount they say prison but that is very rare x

  • It’s fraud, and its annoying for all the working parents out there, who don’t get help with anything!

  • If she is living with someone she will have to pay but if she isn’t then she shouldn’t worry xx
