Could I have a ppp?
How do people cope with both their dog and toddler?
My dog right from the start has been absolutely brilliant with her. But today she went up to him and he made a sort of growling noise so I told him off and also told my toddler to not go so close 🤷🏽‍♀️ she 16 months old.
I’m not going to jump to the decision to get rid of my dog, I’m just after some advice.
I never leave them alone together etc.

  • Just make sure you nip it in the bud as soon as it happens, just like you did. Keep explaining to your toddler that you have to be gentle to the dog etc,
When we got a dog when I was 9 a few weeks later it actually went to bite me, but after a stern telling off and some consistent training she became my absolute best friend in the whole world ❤️

  • I’m not a dog expert don’t have them
But toddlers are very loud and move fast my cats don’t like my kids lol
I would crate dog or get a stair gate and remove dog from child if he shows aggressive
As you would a child if it was agressive towards the dog remove at for a period xx

  • May be worth getting a crate for your dog put a comfy bed in it put a big blanket over the top and leave it where your dog spends most of its time in the day that way he has a place to go when he needs some time alone
