Could I have a private post please for a friend.
My friends recently had an abortion due to family issues and it was the right decision for her. But her and her partner have recently got back together after he had an affair and shes struggling to put it behind her at times. Other times they are absolutely amazing and wonderful but others she just seems to cry and get really emotional and depressed. She’s worried that if she goes to the doctors about depression that it may involve people such as social services etc if she was put on anti depressants. I can’t give her advice as I haven’t got a clue because I thought they only contact people if the child is in danger and thats far from the case. It’s just she wants to be happy and not down all the time. When she is with her kids she is fine its just when she has alone time and sits and thinks to herself I think. Thank you for any help

They won’t contact social services but you should also suggest couples therapy to them xx
They wont contact social services but she can ask GP for a referral for counselling as well as medication
