Could I have a private post please… From a father who’s had a hard time over Xmas with work drying up and recently splitting with my sons mother and dealing with all the depression and feeling like you’ve failed that goes with that, I went to my sons house this morning to see him open his presents only to find that there wasn’t a single one with Daddys name on even though I contributed what I could towards the day. She asked for my contributions and got them up until the day she got paid from work but failed to let me know that she wanted to do separate presents seeing that we’ve just split…Now during our relationship there were times where she had nothing to contribute monetarily but her name was always there without fail no matter what problems or arguments we had because she’s his mum. Now I know that most of you Mums wouldn’t think to do this but what would you tell a friend if she did that to her ex? Btw my boy is 5 and reads very well. Many thanks x
