Could I have a private post please

So I need some advice really I’ve been split from my ex partner for 5months we have a 2 year old son together, our relationship was sometimes amazing but sometimes not, we split as we both decided it was best, I received a message off someone who I don’t know but some how knows me explaining that when me and my partner was together he slept with someone I’m not sure how to react really as I have confronted him about it and has flipped at me and is now throwing solicitors at me for seeing my son when I haven’t stopped him from seeing him, it took 2years to find out that he met up with a girl but never did anything so I’m struggling whether to believe this or not
