Could I have a private post please. So I think this is maybe my 5th post sorry people xx but I’ve now told the ex he can see the kids on Xmas at mine (due to his mental health, drugs and alcohol problems aswell as torrents of verbal abuse and threats to me) so anyway he’s coming to my house but has decided once again to start with he will see the kids at Xmas but can’t after as he wants to start a new life somewhere else. Now I’m not reacting to this as he’s said this 3 times previously but I’m just getting fed up and feel like I’m being a b*#@h for not letting him have the contact he wants which is between 1- 3 night’s staying over unsupervised. I’ve said even though he’s been clean a month or so that’s not long enough to show he’s ok, I’ve got him doing drug tests but these arent regular as theres been excuses and after talking to the places he’s seeking help I’ve also found out he’s lied a hell of a lot not just to me but to the services helping him and his friends and family. What would you all do, has anyone any advice even if it’s that you think I’m out of order for stopping contact. Also i have tried my hardest to help him but it all fell on deaf ears and social services won’t help me because I’ve put the relevant things in place to keep the kids safe by myself (even though I’ve basically begged for help)
