Could I have a private post please.
Went to the doctors today to have my implant removed & with my last they just took it out no questions. However, today I saw a different doctor and she asked me why I wanted it out then looked at my 2 boys (I had to take them with me as no childcare.) I felt on the spot and a bit judged so just said oh it’s been giving me trouble, she then started saying she wouldn’t take it out and I had to go for scans first. I was persistent in saying no I want it out today and then said me and my partner are ready for another baby (which we are but didn’t say that in the first place because of the way she already looked at me!) & made out I felt anxious coming for the removal and so just wanted it over and done with. Her response was ‘without sounding patronising, with you having anxiety and having 2 small children already do you feel like you have appropriate housing and things for another?’ (My children are 5 & 1)
Me & my partner both work, I wouldn’t even be considering another if we couldn’t afford it or didn’t have enough room in our home for another!
Anyway.. in the end she handed me over to my usual doctor and she removed it for me as it was written down in the first place my appointment was to remove a coil and so she didn’t have the correct equipment in her room.
As she was asking all this she was also typing on the computer, god knows what!
Just wondered if anyone else has come across this and whether they think it was quite intrusive of her?
Worries me what she’s wrote on my notes!!
