Could i have a private post please:
My 10 year old goes to her dads for the weekend every two weeks, she dnt really like to go but i have to send her. Well today was the day for her to go, she kicked up a big fuss saying i hate her and everyone would be better if she was dead, she then went into the kitchen put a knife to her throat and said she was going to kill herself!
i managed to calm her down and put the knife down but this all situation as scared me, she as promised not to do this again but im unsure if she needs some outside help like mental health team? 😢

Your daughter needs to talk to someone independent – these actions are scary and you need to show her that you’re thinking of her and putting her first. Are the weekends court appointed? Don’t they have to consider the views of the child at 10
I’d personally wouldn’t be sending her until you get to the bottom of what’s going on with her she clearly isn’t happy and making her do something she really clearly doesn’t want to do can possibly make things worse. I would get her to speak to someone hope your ok and she is too xx
Id spesk to her dad tell him the situation and stop sending her for time being. Maybe phone your gp and seek advice xx
