Could I have private post please.

My sons 6 weeks old on Saturday and my hv noticed he had a little cherry bit in his belly button and she told me to clean it with warm salty water and after week it should dry up and fall off but I noticed it’s started to bleed just a tiny bit is this normal? Plus could this be causing him pain and not settle ? Thanks in advance x
