Could I please have a private post as I have a couple of mutual friends on here. To the outside world life looks perfect. Middle class 2 boys but suffer terrible emotional abuse. I haven’t worked in 9 years (school teacher so will have to do refresher course). Enough is enough I have no family and not many friends left now. I need to break away before my boys get older. I’ve got enough money put away for a deposit and couple of months rent. I’m planning on moving a few hours away to where my oldest was born. My question is will I be able to get help with some rent and benefits even if the domestic abuse hasn’t been reported and will landlords let you pay 3 months upfront then after that some benefits assistance. Guess I just want to know will there be help available to me as financially I can’t do it alone until I get back into work. Thanks x
