When I was 14 I was raped by a older guy who I thought was my friend. I kept it a secret until my friend finally got it out of me. When it came out there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute the guy. The police basically told me to let it go and there wasn’t anything that could have been done. Even though he admitted it to our mutual friend. It really upsets me to this day. It’s affected EVERY relationship I’ve had. I’ve kept everyone at arms length and I still even now years on have flash backs. My partner can’t touch my neck even when we are not doing anything sexual. I just wondered if there’s anything I can do to make it go away? It doesn’t help that on a few occasions I have actually seen him around. Which leads to me freezing and having nightmares. I just don’t want to live in the past anymore.

Counciling will help you chick go speck to Dr they can refer you sorry this happened and Hopfully you will get the help you need to help you in the future and I would put a complaint in to the police as they didn’t do there job and they had a duty of care to you at that time and they didn’t do what they should off done x
I’m really sorry for what has happened to you, and the police should of done a better job and he should of got done. I have never been in your position but maybe speaking to a doctor and tell them how you feel they should be able to refer you to some counselling x
