Health Warning Ibruprofen And Chicken Pox

**WARNING IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION**** DON’T GIVE IBUPROFEN BASED MEDICATION FOR CHICKEN POX **

Ibuprofen is given to help pain and fever , however in the case of chicken pox It can be very dangerous .

It can cause the infection to go deeper into the skin and in serious cases it can cause sepsis. As we all know sepsis can be fatal and kill. So for this reason it is advised that any products like nurofen that contain Ibuprofen are avoided when a child has chicken pox.
Things that can help are:

 
Paracetamol 

Antihistamine like piriton for itching 

Calamine lotion (although this can dry out the spots too quickly)

Keep child cool 

Trim childs fingernails and keep them clean to prevent from scratching itchy fluid-filled blisters

Lots of fluids 

Luke warm baths few times a day for the first few days.
