Hello are you one of the admins for Mums Advice Private Chat? (I sent this to all admins I could find because this is extremely urgent sorry to bother you xx)
If so, would you be able to post an anon question for me?
Do any of you have experience with dealing with RAD in adults? (obviously it isn’t classified as ‘RAD’ anymore and instead is suppose to be re-diagnosed once you reach adulthood but) we recently found out my husband has another child to someone who has RAD (it was a brief affair and the child is no longer in her custody – she abandoned it at 10 weeks old) now the child is nearly 2 and has been in FACS care until recently. however the mother has been in contact with my MIL (who cares for the baby now) but my MIL was told not to have contact with her. My question is why? why does having RAD make you dangerous? and is it really that bad for them to be in contact? (The ‘mother’ who has RAD has stalked us in the past the only concern we have is my mil giving her our address) any advice/answers are appreciated thank you xx TIA
