Hello, could i have a post please.

I took my daughter 3 to the doctors on Friday because i was concerned about her hearing as the last few months shes been asking me to repeat things. The doctor checked her ears and told me shes got bilateral glue ear (both ears) and to give her pirriton. But this is all that was said so i dont know what i do now or how to help her? Im trying to get hold of the health visitor (with no luck) to ask them to help me monitor it. But anybody got any advice so i can help her. She has better days than others where she can hear more than the day before. Just after some advice as i just feel really helpless and makes me feel sad for her. Tia xx

  • My son n daughter both had glue ears…my son ended up with 3 sets of grommets… but my daughers cleared up…we always called my daughter 3 times niamh as i had to tell her thibg 3 times for her to understand…it took 3 + months for it to clear up but they were under an audiologist…leave it a few weeks then ask gp to refer to audiology…xx

  • It says online that it normally clears up on its own and meds are given when it’s persistent.
So give it a few weeks and hopefully she will be back to hearing properly xx
