Hello could I have a private post please?
On Thursday my 1 year old girl was at my Mil’s house. We got a call saying there’d been an accident and she’d been bitten by her dog, and that he’d have to be put down. We rushed over and he’d bitten her on the temple/next to her eye. Mil was inconsolable and kept saying he’d have to be put down. So we took her to hospital – sterastrips put on, antibiotics given and we’re going back tomorrow to make sure it’s healing properly. Police came in and took information about the dog and said they’d ring/visit to do an assessment. He also said if we want to take it further (get the dog put down) we can make a statement. My problem is I do not want my daughter going there anymore but I strongly believe Mil and family are not wanting him put down now. He attacked my daughter out of nowhere (and has bitten various others) so I’m determined to make a statement. How do I deal with the fallout this will surely cause? I don’t care if they hate me, I just want my daughter to be safe. Thanks x
