Hello, could I please have a private post? I’m looking for some advice please cut a long story short.. my little girl is 8 years old she hasn’t seen her dad for the last year (her choice) we are currently going through Court at the moment. A lot of things have happened on his part that have affected my daughter. She’s had a breakdown tonight and it’s broke my heart seeing her like that.. she has a mentor at school who she can talk to if needed but she hasn’t seen him in a while as she felt she didn’t need to. I will be speaking to him tomorrow to arrange for her to have some time with him to see if she can open up to how she’s feeling. My question is does anyone have any advice on ways I can help her express her emotions at home? I have always told her she can tell me anything but feel sometimes she holds back. I was thinking maybe having a box where she can write how she’s feeling and put it in the box just so it gets it off her chest? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you
