Hello please can I have a private post. Please no bashing I got genuinely mixed up. I’m on the mini pill and thought I was on the one where you had a 12 hour gap to take your pill if you missed the usual time. On the 23rd May I was late taking the pill by 6 hours and when I got home I took it and then that evening had intercourse and had finished my monthly that morning. The following morning I checked the leaflet just to be sure and found out that I’m actually on the one where you only have 3 hours to take it within. I went to a pharmacy to get the morning after pill and the pharmacist refused to give to me because I’m already on and a form of contraception even though I’d explained I was late taking it. So the next day I rang 111 to get advice and they told me to get the morning after pill so I went and actually managed to get it from a pharmacist because I had the phone call with 111 at the time. On the 29th I had intercourse again and today I’ve had bleeding. I’ve noticed that on the 29th it would have only been 6 days from the late pill and not the recommended 7 days of extra precautions (a mistake again on my behalf because I’ve not used the mini pill before so I’m getting muddled up with using it) could this bleeding be implantation from the 29th or because of the morning after pill? I’m not due on until the 19th and I ovulate on the 4th according to my tracker. I have tests at home and took one two days ago that was negative but I know that it’ll be too soon to pick up the 29th anyway so when is the best time to test? I’m booked in on the 23rd to change contraception because that’s the soonest my doctors can see me. What do you all think? Thanks in advance.
