Hello please can I have a private post please?
I’m looking for an advice/tips for potty training my 18 month old. I would never have considered even thinking about it at such a young age but for the past couple of months he has let me know when he is pooing, holds himself (his nappy) when he is weeing, and he recognises when he wants his nappy changed and brings his nappy to me. Everyone I’ve spoken to said I should just go with it, but aside from keeping a potty out and sitting him on it when he is pooing I have no idea where to start. He will happily sit on the potty randomly but when he is pooing he tends to stop when I sit him on it and cries so rather than make him scared of it I’ve tried to sneakily tip his poo into the potty and celebrate with him. Any advice will be much appreciated x

I’m in the middle of potty training now my lg has her nappy of and will go for a wee on potty n she took a poo on there yesterday she was freaked out by it but we praises her and she was happy about it after, we’ve got a rewards chart and its really working she gets stickers every time she goes on the potty and a treat at the end of each DAy she don’t have a nappy they say you have to stay in for a week so they get used to it xx
18 months is a reasonable time to potty train if they’re showing signs of being aware
