Hey can I have a ppp? My partner has a five year old little boy, hes lived with him for the past two years as his mum just didn’t bother picking him up from school one day so my partner had to pick him up and she spoke to him a few days later saying she doesn’t want him back… he has everything he needs, my partner works 30hours a week, in full time collage and obviously looks after his son, he’s tried to get her to see their son but she’s an actual disgrace of a woman from what I can make of the messages, she won’t even answer the phone to her son or his messages, she just ignores it… so anyway… She still claims for him living with her, but doesn’t give any of the money to my partner for him and obviously this is really frustrating knowing that she’s taking money from her own son and committing fraud but my partner is worried if he gets the forms to claim for him that she’s able to take their son back, baring in mind she signed a piece of paper saying that he is to live with my partner, it’s not an official document but a friend of his is a solicitor so he drafted it out and they both signed it…
I love his little boy to bits and he’s a great big brother to my daughter and we’d fight to keep him with us if it came to it… any one been through a similar situation and can give any advice? I don’t want to tell him to claim in case he’s taken off him but I think it’s so unfair that she doesn’t even want to see him yet she’s taking money from him!

  • Your partner needs to be honest. Poor boy. Father can then claim the child benefit for him and that’s what the money is for and whom x

  • You can claim and she would have to take
You to court for him back. Your partner doesn’t legally have to hand the child back it is not kidnap and tbh I don’t think she’ll get a leg to stand on in court for access will be minimal but she certainly won’t get full custody now deffinatly not and legally he doesn’t have to hand the child back. She would legally have to take him to court xx
