Hi can I get a private post please?
Sorry if I go on abit but I was hoping for some advice on how to deal with my 11 year old. He’s absolutely lovely at home. He’s helpful,loving to his siblings (he’s the middle child) kind thoughtful ect but in school he’s a nightmare!! He’s in year 7 (first year of high school) since november ive had phone calls home because he’s been truanting, refuses point blank to do any work. He’s disrespectful and cheeky to teachers. He just does not care! We’ve taken his phone, computer, grounded him ect. I don’t know what else to do! Before he started high school he had abit of a difficult time. He cried and was really anxious. He had nervous twitches and the GP was involved. We spent a year building up his confidence and these have resolved. He is a really bright boy so this is frustrating to watch. Has anyone had experience with this or any advice? I have a meeting with the school this afternoon so any help/ideas before i get there will be a great help. Thanks for reading! Xx
