Hi can I have a post please.
I posted a few days ago about a pharmacy advising I should give my 11 week old son honey to help with his cough and cold. After a lot of research (gps, nurses, nhs website, other pharmacies) I have found out that giving honey to children under 12 months will act as a toxin and poison the child and well the rest is unthinkable!!
I have made a complaint to the pharmacy and will be getting hold of their head office. The pharmacist has apologised and said he simply didn’t know the potentially devastating affects of honey.
So whilst I’m not looking for advice or opinions I want people to be aware of
1. DO NOT give honey to your child under 12 months!!!
2. If some advice doesn’t sit right (regardless of where that advice has come from) do your research and get second opinions!!
Whilst my story ends happy the fact is it couldn’t have done. Trust gut instinct 😊
