Hi can I have a post pls.

I am a single mom to 3 children. I have twins that have just turned 16 and a 13 year old. This post is about the twins. They have a different dad to my youngest. Now since the twins were 1 he never wanted anything to do with them, didn’t pay nothing for them neither.

He was and still is a gambler and put us all through hell. When the twins were younger I tried to get him to visit them but he always had excuses as to why he didn’t come. I was the one who had to deal with them being upset waiting at the window with their coats on crying. Used to buy gifts saying they were from him but stopped it when they were about 5 cos he clearly couldn’t care less.

Now after 16 years the dad has only had visits about 10 times at most yet he all of a sudden wants to be in their life and has told them he is ready to take on the dad role. Seriously! He saw the boy twin and gave him his phone number so both twins were texting him last night and have arranged to meet him at weekend.

I am so hurt that they went straight into getting in touch, hiding away upstairs to text and chat about it and I had to ask them what they had decided. Yes I said I am fine about it, it’s their choice but inside I am hurting so bad n screaming and also unhappy that the twins let their dad in just at the drop of a hat.

I mean cmon who brought you up all these years? Am I being selfish cos I am hurt how quickly they want him back in their life? I just can’t believe it.
