Hi can I have a pp please. Me and my baby’s father have split up. My baby boy is only 11 months old. I’m ok with it but I’m gutted for my little boy I really wanted him to have a family unit but that’s ruined for him and now I’m worrying about the future. If I meet someone else (which will not be for a very long time) and If I end up having another baby I don’t want my little boy to feel left out or not apart of the family the thought of this is braking my heart. Has anyone been in this position? And has it all worked out for you? That’s the only thing that’s bothering me from the split.

  • I wouldnt worry yourself about that until the time comes babe & if you meet someone new he would be joining your family, not creating a new one! Concentrate on being the best mum you can be & your little one wont be missing out on anything ❤

  • If ur ex is a good dad i dont see why u cant make that family unit for ur little boy allow visits and allow him to stay over with him and plus side gives u a brake

  • It’s a difficult situation I was with my Ex for 12 years and when our soon was 2 we separated (my choice) I was still heartbroken though as I wanted a family unit also for my little boy but things happen for a reason! My little boy is 7 now and I’ve had interest of blokes etc but I am absolutely petrified of letting my guard down especially becaause my son is at the age he understands, breaks my heart as he does mention it sometimes “I want you and daddy to live together and he will actually cry about it! So so sad to see but he doesn’t understand the reasons I left in the first place! My little one his dads surname and I often think if I ever did meet someone and had more children would he feel left out! Sadly it hasn’t worked out for me! But I know lots of other people who have been through it and it’s all worked out for them, so there is light at the end of the tunnel! I’m sure it will all work out for you & aslong as you are happy your child will be too no matter what the circumstances x
