I’m going to start by dying I’m not a mother, so I don’t know how everyone disciplines their children so I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t overreacting.
Today at work I witnessed a mother dragging her child around by the ear, and screaming at him to stop crying. The child was crying in pain and fear, and I felt so horrible. The woman then reached down and punched him multiple times and slapped him full forced in the face! It wasn’t a little pat on the bum to say, “Stop misbehaving!” This was full strength slapping and punching.
As I was at work I have no idea how to address this. I was with another customer and was horrified. I’m not sure what I can do about this- I feel if I make a complaint to the police I’ll be laughed out the door as I don’t know the woman’s name and could only give a description.
