Hi can I have a ppp. Was just wondering if anyone knew if I quit my job due to a change in my childcare arrangements no longer being reliable, will I be allowed to claim income support or will I be sanctioned? I have a one year old and another one on the way so would be pointless me looking for a job right now. Tia xx

Mine was a few yrs ago n was always told if the job didn’t fit around childcare you could refuse jobs would b best 2 ring job centre and ask xx
Yeah you can long as it’s a reasonable reason and not just leaving for the fun of it child care situation or hours at work clash and make it impossible to carry on working you
You’ll be making yourself unemployed so no you will be sanctioned.
think u wudnt get for 26 weeks as ur making urself unemployed, as theres loads childcare options out there
I don’t know if you can claim by making yourself unemployed? Not sure how it would affect your maternity pay either? X
If you can’t sort out childcare and you couldn’t have them looked after safely I don’t see why not. X
why don’t you just start your maternity early ?.m
