Hi can I have a private post please?
Has anyone’s family totally turned against them because they don’t like your choices in life?
Recently split with my partner, wedding called off etc it wasn’t the right time for us, personal stresses all added to the stress and we argued every single day. I was heartbroken so went back to my parents (had nowhere else to go). Me and ex partner have since worked things out and desperately want things to work but want to take it slow. My parents are furious and seem to be more concerned about the money they lost on the wedding, I’ve said I will pay them back every penny as I’m in employment. I don’t know what to do? Of course I see my parents point of view but I am so in love with my partner and just want to be happy. I feel unwelcome at my parents house and I’m supposed to be living there. I suffer with anxiety and I’m really struggling right now, please no bashing.
