Hi can I have a private post please… I’m at a bit off a loose end with my boyfriends son, to cut long story short his wee boy is just coming up for 2 years and his temper is ridiculous, if he doesn’t get his own way he’ll bang his head off of walls or the ground to get a reaction out of us and before anyone says it we try not let him hit his head my coming to his level and trying to distract him but in some case you can’t get there fast enough and he hits his head before we can stop it. His LB will also throw objects at you and now most recently slap or pull at your hair, all if he doesn’t get his own way, now I know he’s young and it’s expected that he’ll throw tantrums but the whole weekend we’ve had him it’s been screaming and crying, and hitting us, I know that him coming from a split family will be hard as mum is doing one thing and dad is doing the other so it will be confusing him and I know that they need to talk and agree on the right method of discipline when he is hitting people or hurting himself, anyways I’m just looking for a little bit of reassurance that it is just to do with his age and he’ll grow out of it and also looking for advice from other parents on how they dealt with this?
