Hi can I have a private post please
Its a sensitive subject
I’ve just found out baby stopped growing and I was wondering what route everyone that’s been through the same took. Naturally, tablets or surgical? And any experiences of them?

  • Im really sorry to hear this. I have recently had the tablets, they didn’t work first time but I tried again two weeks later and they did. The experience hasn’t been as bad as I expected. The nurses said they often give a worse case scenario and most people are relived it’s not as bad as expected. I vomited a few times after the tablets, I’ve been taking Solpadine Max for the pain and have a hot water bottle. That’s all you can do really. The pain was at its worst for about 6 hours and I passed the sack quickly. Since then it’s mild cramps and tiredness on and off for a week or so. Xxx

  • I waited to see if my body would pass baby (8 weeks growth stopped found out at 12 week scan) my body didn’t pass baby naturally so had to have tablets but a clot got stuck coursing me to bleed heavily. So had to be rushed to surgery in the end. If it was me going through it again I would choose just to go for the surgery. Stay strong ❀️ X

  • When i had a miscarriage i tried the tablets they didn’t work then tried to let it pass naturally and it didn’t so did the tablets again which caused me to bleed out & clot, then needed the surgery anyway and a blood transfusion. I would definitely go with the surgery. Keep strong! πŸ’

  • We went through this at Christmas, I chose surgical, your put to sleep, it’s painless & personally I thought it would emotionally be easier then having to pass the and see it all. So sorry for your loss xx
