Hi can I have a private post please? Need some advice desperately on my partners behalf. It’s abit long winded but I’ll do my best to shorten it.
My partner has a daughter from his previous relationship and the mother won’t let him see her but allows his family to see her which is the only time he manages to have contact. Anyway I messaged the mother myself afew month back to ask her version of events and she told me she isn’t stopping him from seeing his daughter, she claims he just stopped trying and she doesn’t know why. Thing is since then I have witnessed him trying to contact the mother but all his calls are being rejected. He’s get desperate now to the point he’s contemplating just taking her next time she’s at his parents house, problem is even though he’s on the birth certificate we know he’d get into serious trouble as it would be classed as kidnap and I’m currently pregnant we can’t have him getting arrested. We can’t afford to go to court to get a visitation order and family mediation only help if both parents are willing to cooperate which she’s proving she isn’t. Does anyone know what we can Do? He really wants to see his daughter but if she won’t answer his calls we’re at a loss on what else to try. We’ve also just found out tonight that his mother is having his daughter at the weekend but she hasn’t told him about it which really isn’t like her.
