Hi can I have a private post please?
After some advice ladies.. My 18 month old has always loved bath time but the last couple of weeks or so she will only stand up in it and will quite often just cry or winge til she is out again 😞 I’m so stuck on why as nothing in our routine has changed?

  • Around 18 months children can begin to develop a sense of fear etc, she may be seeing that you aren’t in their with her and she thinks you are going to leave her, which we know you won’t… try to keep her calm, give her lots of toys, music, bubbles etc. Reassure her that she’s fine. Try showers if you have to.
    Good luck.

  • All children are different, but my daughter went through the same around that age. It took me a while, trying different things like toys, music etc. but the answer for me was simply to sit down next to the bath while she was in it 😂 I think she was afraid I’d leave her, and me sitting down instead of standing comforts her slightly

  • My son did same so i just left him to it. Obviously still washed him etc. After a couple of weeks he just randomly started sitting in bath again

  • It’s a faze, my 2 youngest went through it, stay persistent with bathtime but just a quick in, wash and out, will pass in a few weeks X
