Hi can I keep anonymous want advice my daughterinlaw as found out she’s pregnant about 5 weeks doc sent her for an early scan to check things was ok on the scan was just the sac no yolk sac no baby pole she had bloods took and came back high for pregnancy they now saying it could be an early miscarriage or an atopic pregnancy going to see in a weeks time by ‘re scanning her to see if anything devil’s anyone else been In this situation and what was your outcomes x

If it was ectopic would they not see that right away in the scan from where the sac is positioned ? When i was scanned at 5 weeks they seen the yolk sac but my dr said before i went for my scan they might not be able to see anything at all at 5 weeks so maybe shes just so early thats why is isnt there ? Surely if it was a miscarriage her bloods wouldnt come back high ? X
This happened to me last year. Got repeated scans until about 9weeks but unfortunately it was classed as a blighted ovuim.
