Hi girls i just want some reassurance really I’m 15 weeks pregnant and I think I have bv for like 2 or 3 weeks now I have this bad fishy smell and green yellowish discharge I have been to gp today and it was abit awkward he told me to book a appt with a female doc or nurse for swabs I said it’s fine but only available appt is on 4th July and I’m abit worried I have read on internet that it causes miscarriage I just want to know if anyone had this and their baby’s have been fine with waiting so long with treatment? That doctor should have treated you there and then or at least given you a very soon appointment. A infection during pregnancy can become serious fast. The symptoms don’t Sound good. If you hospital have a early pregnancy clinic go there or contact your midwife best of luck x
Can’t you contact you’re midwife and ask for advice or even ring maternity unit? They should be able to help you sooner and make sure you haven’t got an ifectiton and if so give you treatment?, hope everything is okay anyway.
