Hi Hun, can I get a private post please? Me and my partner have split up for good and I wanted some advice how people afford rent etc not sure what help I’m entitled to so i need to know so I know whether I need to move back in with my mum. I’m 20, I have a 3 year old son and work 16-20 hours a week on £9.30 an hour
My ex paid the rent which is £500 a month and he paid electric, shopping, water and then liscense
I pay for gas, sky, everything for our son, car insurance etc
Would I get help with my rent with me working 16-20 hours a week? Sorry for the long post hope is ok ?xxx

Different places have different amounts but you should be getting housing benefit, child tax, child benefit, possily council tax reduction. Thats what i got when i done 20hrs x
You should be able to get some housing benefit to help with your rent don’t know how much though I would contact you local council and speak.to the housing benefit department xxx
