Hi ladies really need help as I’ve never been in this position. It might be a little long but please someone advise me.

I ended things with my partner and he’s moving out in two weeks. I work part time 24hrs and I can’t afford the full rent, bills etc. This was what was stopping me from ending the relationship sooner. However now I’ve spoken to friends about what’s gone on they’ve said I’m entitled to things and to do the calculator online, I did and it worked out I’d be entitled to enough to keep my son and I in the rented house we are in.

However I don’t know how to start. Do I go the estate agents and get his name taken off the tenancy ? Do I go to citizens advice first or after ? How does it work ? I’m not worried about the length of the process as my ex partner has said until it’s sorted he will still help with money because he doesn’t want to see me struggle or worry about our son. I JUST DONT KNOW WHERE TO START and I’m panicking now. Please help me, what’s the very first thing I need to do to get the ball rolling ? Feel like I’m in limbo at the minute, thankyou.

  • I’d go to citizens advice first and see what they say, what your entitled too etc and they might advice u about getting his name took off. As then you’ll have a bit of information to back u up when u go to estate agents. X
