Hi please can I have a private message . I am currently on maternity leave and due to go back to work in September. I recently went in and discussed options about my return. They have suggested a job share. I found out through other colleagues that they had asked two other workers if they wanted the job share of my job first and if I was going to return then I would of been moved to a different section, same position though. This really upset me as I have worked there for some time, and was also told that my manager said to them that I wasn’t suitable in that role. However on appraisals she always said how well I was doing. On discussion about the job share they said they would be able to offer me a discount on childcare to allow my son to go to the place I work. The lady They wanted me to job share was offered the job without me signing any new contract. When I went home and discussed it with my husband he suggested asking about a few other options which I did. They are now saying that they can’t give me any discount which now makes it hard for me to return to work as it won’t be worth my while. I’m not to sure what to do I feel they are being funny with me because I asked about different options. I don’t know where I stand with this? The position that I am in I am aware that other people have had help with brining their children in, with discount Ect .
