Hi. Please can I have a private post?

Not baby related.

I have a 10 month old baby and am a single mum. Got pregnant by accident. I was on the pill, my partner never wanted children and was emotionally abusive throughout our relationship. He stuck by me through my pregnancy, but left us when my little one was 8 weeks old.

4 months ago I met a man who is one of my best friends (an older lady than me) son. He’s a single dad and he lives in America. I’m in the UK. His little one is 3. He is the loveliest man I’ve ever met and I know his mum very well and have told her how I feel about him. She wishes he would come back here and thinks we could get together if he did. But he won’t leave the country as his ex has custody of his child, so it would mean leaving his little one for a relationship which may not work.

I’m posting because I really really want to be with him. And I’m strongly considering going over there (obviously to meet him a few times first) but I really want to be with him.

Can I have any advice or opinions at all? Thank you!
