Hi please can I have an anonymous post on your page.

Hi, I’m looking for some advice from other mums. I am currently over 4 1/2 months pregnant with my 3rd child after several miscarriages, and I think I’m suffering from some kind of eating disorder.
I have also had problems with food since childhood especially with hiding food and binging, and to the extent I would binge many times in one day after huge meals and am very overweight. But throughout this pregnancy I found that I have just stopped eating and not a little either. Before I would eat all my meals and binge, whereas now I struggle to eat one meal a day and at the most it’s something small like toast or a apple. I find myself always upset and constantly thinking I don’t want to eat, but I and think I might be subconsciously using it as a way of control as I have quite stressful life and no support system, I don’t want to talk to midwife or GP for fear of stigma and referral to ss as I have bipolar too. Can anyone help or give me any advice/tips who have been through the same? Thankyou

  • Try eating slower. And try not to eat the foods you are craving so much.

    Eating slower let’s the food digest. Shoveling it down doesn’t give it enough time.

    I get in phases like this where I just eat and eat and eat and don’t feel full until
    I get sick.

  • i have no advice at all but you ever need an ear im here maybe you havent gone off food all togther maybe your body has changed the way it looks at food maybe what ur dishing up try eating little but often and try different foods

  • a think u need to speak to somebody if ur not eating its not good for u or ur baby hun. ur midwife could get u help and support better speaking about it than shutting down and keeping it to urself there is so much support out there xxx
