Hi. Please help! I’m terrified, I’m 8 weeks pregnant, the dad was so supportive and there for me. He was so happy to be a dad. I was having complications so ended up in hospital at 6weeks. He was with me the whole time and was so happy to see the scan at 6weeks. Now I’m going to hear the heartbeat tomorrow but the dad has refused to speak to me in over a week. Last thing he said was he doesn’t want it and to have an abortion. I need support, advice, guidance. I want my baby. Should I let his family know? I want them to know their grandchild. I don’t have family of my own. I’m just so upset and can’t face this alone xx

I was in this exact position hun, my ex tried to make me abort our baby & even almost convinced me that I should, I had a consultation & an appointment booked for the procedure 😢 I cancelled it because I couldn’t go through with it, he was hot & cold for weeks before finally splitting up with me, getting back with his ex & told me he wants nothing to do with me or the baby! The flat is in his name so I was also left homeless & pregnant 😢 I’ve given him every chance only to be told to f*** off so now I’ve blocked all contact & changed my number.
You can do this sweetheart, if you really want to keep your baby then stand your ground & if it means doing it alone then so be it, message me if you want to talk, I’m 20+2 week’s now and getting there on my own, you can too xxx
They won’t listen for a heartbeat until at least 16 weeks, just don’t want you to get your hopes up. The 8 week midwife appointment is mainly just form filing and a blood test.
I would give him a bit of space, something has clearly happened in his life to make him change his mind like that.
Oh love 🙁 sounds like he’s got a case of the cold feet. Having a baby can be terrifying for some men and unfortunately they are automatically branded as best Ards. Yes tell his family and just give him time. You will be okay baby we all are xxx
They usually don’t try and listen to the heartbeat until 16 weeks. Ignore him and just go to your appointment x
Get through the next few weeks, enjoy your pregnancy. Then after your 12 week scan, tell his family x
I’d give him some time to come round. If he’s still being a cunt after your 12 weeks scan, then I’d tell them x
Tell his mum get her to kick his ass xx
