Hi,
Could I please have a ppp?

My 4 year old, who has never had a dummy or sleep aid as an infant has all of a sudden started to suck his arms and hands through the night. Originally I thought it was in his sleep but I have since came to realise that he is aware of it.

I have tried numerous strategies to overcome this. I brought him into bed beside me, tried long sleeves and gloves (he sucks through them and the result is much worse), reward charts, punishment, threats, blackmail and promises.

His school report just came home and it echoes what I believe- a happy, popular little boy. He doesn’t seem that annoyed about it.

I brought him to GP who dismissed me and said there was no easy fix. I’m not after an easy fix- I just need some help or advice.

It upsets me so much.

Have any of you experienced this? Have you any advice.
