Hi,

My son has been wanting me to get a toy for his birthday but it costs £70 and I never intended on buying it because in the past I’ve bought him expensive toys and he’s always just lost interest.

So, anyway he had a party this weekend and got £35 in vouchers and £10 in cash and I said to him, if you want to buy the toy, you can pay for it yourself and we would go to the bank and take the rest of the money out of his bank account to pay for it.

So we agreed that I would take the giftcards and the money and I would buy it online from my own account.

His birthday is on Monday and we leave for a holiday on Saturday so I wanted it arrive before we go away and I bought it online today and it’s due to come tomorrow.

Not that long ago, I go to take the gift cards and put them in my wallet when he completely flies off the handle and screams his head off and me saying he no longer wants it (after MONTHS of talking about it). He no longer wants to pay for it and he wants to keep his vouchers and he doesn’t want any money taken out of his account.

What do I do with this toy that is being delivered tomorrow?
Should I give it to him for his birthday? Do I just go ahead with what we agreed on? Or do I just send the thing back costing me more money?

He is 6 years old and has been having tantrums for the past 5 weeks or so, it’s getting so tiring.
THANK YOU
