Hiya could I get a pp please?

I’m moving back up north just me and my son I’ve got a flat and have started moving in slowly. I moved back in with my mum last year who lives down south while I was on maternity leave. I will be going back to my old job,my friends are there and I’ve been wanting to move back for a while now. My sons dad lives 10 minutes from my new flat he’s not interested in meeting him or being a father. I’m now starting to question whether I’m making the right decision as all my family are down south and I have my mums support. There isn’t much where my mum lives it’s a crap area, also my brother is on heavy drugs and don’t want my son around it anymore. Obviously everything I do is for my son to give him a better life so I want to make sure this is the right decision. What would everyone else do? X
