Hiya, could I have a private post please??
I have a 2 year old with my ex, he is on the birth certificate and my child has his last name. He hasn’t seen our child for 19 months, I know I can’t change my child’s last name without his permission but do I need his permission to add my name and have it double barrelled? I hate the fact I have a different last name to my child especially as the dad doesn’t both so doesn’t even deserve it! I know he’d never give permission to change the last name to solely mine as he liked to be awkward that’s why I’m wondering if I need his permission to add mine as I’m not removing his, anyone have any advice or knows who I would speak too? Thanks!
