Hiya could I have a private post please?

I have a one year old girl and have my second baby due in October. I am completely stuck at what to do regarding prams… the original idea was to get a double icandy however my partner thinks it will get wasted (works out at over £1200). the main question I’m asking is what did other mummies do? Do I need a double, do I need a single and a stroller or do I need a single with a seated buggy board. My daughter will be 19 months when my little one is here, she is walking and also has one nap during the day.

Any ideas will be lovely! Thank you ☺️

  • There was 14 months between my 2 daughter’s and I looked at icandy but they were so flimsy. I bought the city select baby jogger and it’s absolutely brilliant. So sturdy and well built. Can have it in so many different ways.
My daughter’s are now 3 and a half and 2 and a half and I still use it and have been since my eldest was 8 months old. My eldest is disabled and this is brilliant. Rather than taking her wheelchair and a buggy for my youngest I still use this until my youngest can handle long walks.
I paid £850 in total for mine and it included everything except a nappy bag.
    Included 2 chairs
    2 carry cots
1 car seat and isofix for car
    And Rain covers
I honestly can’t rate it high enough. And the fact that you can have both children in it and face them back to back so that one isn’t hidden behind the other and can’t see out. But you can have it in so many different ways it’s so versatile for everything. And it’s light and so easy to fold.
This is it but mine is red.
But Google it for larger images. It’s perfect.

  • Defo a double my girl will be 2 and 1 month when my second is hear, shes 19 months now and has one nap still through out the day she can walk about 5 or 10 minuites up the road and then wants to be carried as her legs start to hurt. She naps in her buggy if we are out.. your eldest will still only be a baby when ur second is hear.. i couldnt imagine my 19 month old walking everywere or even sitting or standing on a buggy board.. i have the bugaboo donkey already and using it in single mode till second babys hear xx

  • Get a double definitely. We got the oyster max two, it’s great so far considering the abuse it gets from my youngest two. Was just under £450 with the extra seat for the toddler, raincovers etc. Whichever u choose try to avoid inflatable wheels, it was a big factor in our decision making x

  • There’s 9 months between my middle and youngest and I also wanted an icandy double buggy, but just couldn’t afford it. In the end I got an isafe tandem from amazon and it was a God send. Best buy ever and a fab buggy. My middle child was no where near ready to walk everywhere and still liked to nap so a buggy board was out the question too. Xxx

  • 20 month age gap and we have the cosatto shuffle tandem, it’s only as wide as a single stroller so fits through all doors and both children are at same level – i don’t like when one is underneath and has a restricted view. It was £300 and something and included a 4 year guarantee x

  • I wouldn’t buy a side by side buggy/pram though as I’ve seen heaps of people struggle to get around small shops with skinny isles and people can’t get past and you end up knocking stuff off shelves lol.

  • I had a nearly 17 month and newborn, didn’t bother with a double. Had a pram and buggy but never really needed to use both. Wait and see if you actually need one so you don’t waste money x
