I really want to know how others would feel in this situation. I’m fuming at this.

I got a letter this morning from Capital One (credit card for no one who knows) saying I have missed a payment. I don’t own a Capital One credit card but my partner does. So he’s used my details to apply for a credit card for him in my name.

I called up Capital One & explained that I haven’t ever applied for a credit card of theirs, they then went on to explain that I have applied for a Capital One MasterCard in May this year (this wasn’t me) They also told me that I made an application for another credit card in July 2016 (also not me).

I know this is my partner but he hasn’t told me he’s doing this! It’s affecting my credit score so I won’t ever be able to get finance on a car or a mortgage at this rate! He’s constantly applying for loans & lying to me about it!

Any advice on what I should do? I’m going to talk to him tonight about it & see what he says 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for reading.
