I was wondering if I can have a private post please. I’m currently 33 weeks and 6 days pregnant with my second child. I’m actually due on Christmas but since some issues came up I will be having a c section. I’m having a boy. I had an ultrasound done last week and it showed that one of the kidney’s isn’t normal compared to the other one. It has some fluid in it or something. The doctor said it could be one of the tubes to that kidney is twisted. They are going to check it again in 4 weeks to see if it’s better, worse, or the same. If it’s still the same or worse they will do an ultrasound on him 48 hours after he’s and give him antibiotics in case there’s an infection. The doctor said this isn’t a life threatening issue because people can survive with only one kidney. He also said it’s more common in boys but I’m still worried about it and don’t want it to be an issue. Has anyone heard of this happening before and if so how worried should I be? I’m hoping the issue will resolve on it’s own before he’s born. Any input or knowledge of this issue would be helpful. I’m hoping there will be good news at the next ultrasound.
