Just needed some advice my daughter who is almost 10 stays with her nan every other weekend and has done since she was a baby her father has never had consistent contact with her he sporadically turns up whilst she is at her nans coincidentally rather than because he knows she is there he has no parental responsibility over the years I have said im not happy with this but yet it still carrys on and to add to it when he turns up majority of the time hes been drinking this will maybe happen every few months sometimes maybe longer now this is starting to effect my daughter she is getting upset and has confided in me this morning and said her dad only sees her when hes drunk he has to drink to see because he doesnt love me now i know thats not the case but as a child thats her perception on the situation I am not saying I want to stop contact but what i am saying is i dont want him turning up as and when he either shows consistency with the contact (sober) or not at all I just wanted some advice on how i can go about this as Ive told her nan time and time again and no one is taking me seriously Ive contacted the CBA who are arranging half an hour free advice at a local solicitors its effecting her emotionally and im not prepared to stand by and put up with this any advice on how and what i can do to solve this would be great
